Demi Lovato is celebrating summer lovin' in the teaser for her "Made In The USA" video, slated for release on July 17.

The visual shows a couple watching a sunset, a young woman riding in a car with the wind blowing through her hair, and the final shot of the teaser is of a smiling Demi. Before the clip premieres, we here at Hollywood Crush decided to round up what we know about the video...so far.

Demi makes her directing debut!
The 20-year-old co-directed the clip, knocking a major milestone off her to-do list. "I always wanted to do it when I was younger, then I just had the opportunity this time and I was like, 'Oh my god, I have to take advantage of this,'" she said of getting the chance to go behind the lens for the video. "So I came up with the idea for the treatment, and I told my manager this is what I want on this second and on this shot and this to happen...and want this camera to pan that way and he was like, 'Why don't you just direct it?' and I was like, 'OK!'"

She's been planning the video...for a while!
According to the song’s producer, Jason Evigan of The Suspex, Demi already had the video treatment in mind when she hit the studio to record the single, her follow-up to "Heart Attack."

"She came in she loved it," he explained. "She had the whole concept for the video in her head [as soon as she heard it], which is funny because she ended up directing it. I haven't seen the video yet, but I heard it's pretty awesome."

She's got some sexy co-stars!
Demi enlisted “Friday Night Lights” actress Aimee Teegarden and “90210” actor Dustin Milligan to appear in the video as the lovers in the clip.

The video will likely take a cue from the song.
Evigan told MTV News that the song pays homage to great love stories in American pop culture and based on the carnival theme, we’re guessing the video will take some cues from that. He said, "These American romantic love stories [inspired it], and I feel like they're unbreakable through the years, through time, since the '30s and '40s and '50s, they still hold up. Real love, if it's made in the USA, it's never gonna break."

Are you excited for Demi's new video?
