Demi Lovato has always been an open book when it comes to sharing the ups and downs of her life. But the singer is letting fans delve deeper into her life in the just-released e-book, "Demi," which serves as a companion piece to her album of the same name.
The e-book chronicles the 20-year-old's career and takes Lovatics inside the making of Demi, which dropped last month. "I wrote about personal experiences and became more candid about them," she says in a video clip featured in the release. "I also feel like my lyrics were more vulnerable, and I'm just really proud of how honest I was in this album."
Out today, "Demi" also features a performance from the singer. Fans are treated to a stripped-down, black-and-white staging of her ballad "In Case." There are also plenty of photos, never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews with the “X Factor” judge. In one of those interviews, Demi reveals something about herself that her fans may not know about her.
"What they may not know is that I give really good advice, and I like to pride myself on that," she said. "So when my friends call me, if it's in the middle of the night or during the day, I will be a really great friend and sit on the phone and make sure that I don't hang up until they're good."
